Making Camp Better for Girls

on

GSNI Camps Dean and McCormick are getting a face-lift! Six new sleeping cabins are being installed at Camp Dean to replace several aging tent units. The sleeping cabins will be in Cherry Hollow and include screen windows with roll down coverings, framed wood walls and ceiling, and electric lighting!

GSNI’s Property Team will also be replacing two latrines at Camp McCormick with composting toilets. These specially designed toilets do not smell, have easy to clean interiors, and are environmentally friendly! The new toilets function with wood chips and moving air. They also include solar powered fans and lights. For more information on composting toilets, visit http://www.clivusmultrum.com/restroom-structures.php.

These improvements are in response to camp surveys conducted by GSNI. Stay tuned to our blog for updates on how GSNI is continually listening to our members and making camp better for girls!
